Come along to our photo sessions to dust off your camera and get snap-happy with a professional photography instructor.

Brush up on your camera skills and learn new photography techniques whilst on a photo walk class with other local keen photographers!

We run two hour photography sessions based on a photography theme/technique/style and they take place in various locations in Northampton .

  • New to photography? We also run a popular 3 hour Beginners Guide to Photography Class once a month. And once in a while we will run special niche 3 hour classes, for example, Astrophotography - so do subscribe to our newsletter to know when the next on is!

  • Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to keen amateurs. The photography instructor is there to help you with camera settings and provide any advice you need.

  • What to bring? We recommend bringing a camera that has full manual mode or semi-manual modes (Aperture or Shutter Priority). Compact cameras and smartphones also welcome!

    The meeting point and full details for the day are sent in the booking confirmation email to the email address you provide at time of booking.

    I really enjoyed the event and Lore was friendly and knowledgeable. She convinced us all to try Manual mode for the first time and helped us understand the settings in our cameras, whilst also giving tips on lighting, composition and more. I would recommend this event to anyone wanting to get out of their comfort zone and discover new techniques and ways of using their camera.

    It was a friendly relaxed session. my first time attending one, so I wasn't sure what to expect. There was guidance if we wanted, but I enjoyed the process of being led somewhere and then creating my own images. I enjoyed having a purpose for the 2 hours and being in the company of others with the same interest.

    Very useful and informative event and the teacher kindly came and found me when I got very lost! Discovered a whole bunch of menus on my DSLR I didn't know were there AND how to share my location on Whatsapp. We still managed to take some good pictures.

    This event is only used once a year.It was the first time I have seen Sidecars live on a course.I have only seen it on World of Sport many years ago on tv.The people riding the side car are so brave and they do fall off.Here the are going up and down very step hills.In this image they just come down at a very high sppeed then slam on the breaks getting ready for a sharp turn.That why the man standing up to help with tyre contact for breaks and the moves to add weight over the wheels

    This is a HDR image 7 diffrent exposers.This was taken at Didcot back in 2020 with time line eventsAll day and well in to the night.This was taken about 11pm.It was so dark you could not see the trains.Only light was from inside the train shed and the near by toilet.This time of night we were down to about 5 photographers.The exposer ran from 3 mins to over 20mins to get the detail.I did shoot as high as a F2-8 but fount I could not see to do manual focal lock.Once I found a c

    Our neighbours are on holiday and we are watering their greenhouse so we visit their garden daily. I bought a new z85 1.8 lens and wanted to experiment with it to try to create bokeh. I saw this foxglove standing proudly in their garden and thought it would be an ideal subject for my new lens.

    I was walking around the rocks at sunset, enjoying the clouds, and thinking I had better get to shelter as that rain burst was heading my way.
